Welcome to LocalPulse. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Eligibility

LocalPulse is intended for users 18 years of age and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age.

Objectionable Content and Abusive Behavior

LocalPulse has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Hate speech, harassment, explicit sexual content, illegal activity, threats, and other objectionable material are strictly prohibited on our platform.

Reporting and Moderation Commitments

• Users can report any objectionable content or abusive user directly from within the app at any time.
• Users can block other users at any time, immediately preventing further contact.
• All reports of objectionable content are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours.
• When objectionable content is confirmed, we remove the content and eject (ban) the user who posted it from the platform.
• Repeat violations, severe violations, or threats to user safety result in immediate permanent bans without notice.

Zero Tolerance Examples

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in content removal and account termination:

• Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Sexual content involving minors or any content sexualizing minors in any way
• Explicit sexual content, pornography, or nudity
• Credible threats of violence or content inciting violence
• Doxxing, stalking, or sharing personal information without consent
• Promotion of illegal activities, including drug sales, human trafficking, or weapons sales
• Impersonation or fake accounts intended to deceive
• Spam, scams, or fraudulent event listings

By using LocalPulse, you agree that these behaviors are unacceptable and that we will act decisively to protect our community.

Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• One account per person — do not create multiple accounts
• Do not share your login credentials with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

User Conduct

When using LocalPulse, you agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Impersonate other users, venues, or public figures
• Spam other users with unsolicited messages or promotions
• Post false or misleading event information
• Use the app to facilitate illegal activities
• Scrape or harvest data from the platform
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Post content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Post sexually explicit content or any content sexualizing minors
• Post hate speech or content targeting individuals based on protected characteristics
• Engage in abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior toward other users

Content You Post

You own the content you create on LocalPulse. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the app and for promotional purposes.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

Live Streaming

When using Go Live features, you agree to:

• Only stream content you have the right to broadcast
• Not stream illegal, adult, or harmful content
• Respect the privacy of others — do not stream people without consent
• Not use live streaming to harass or harm others
• Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

We reserve the right to terminate live streams that violate these terms without notice.

Venue Claims

If you claim a venue on LocalPulse, you confirm that you are an authorized representative of that venue. False claims may result in account termination and potential legal action.

Creator Marketplace

Creators listed in the marketplace are independent professionals. LocalPulse does not guarantee the quality of services provided by creators and is not responsible for disputes between creators and venues.

Event Listings

Events imported from third-party sources (Posh, Eventbrite) are displayed for discovery purposes. LocalPulse is not responsible for the accuracy of event details or any issues arising from attendance at listed events.

Termination

We will terminate (permanently ban) accounts that post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior. We act on verified reports within 24 hours, including removing the offending content and ejecting the offending user. Repeat or severe violations result in immediate permanent bans without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Disclaimers

LocalPulse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for any damages resulting from your use of the app.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalPulse and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Harris County, Texas.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
