The story
Every city moves. There's a pulse to it: a warehouse show here, a day party there, a lounge opening across town, a block party you'd never have heard about unless someone put you on. The problem was never a lack of things to do. It's that the culture is scattered, buried across Instagram stories, group chats, five different ticketing apps, and flyers you saw a day too late. If you weren't already in, you missed it.
LocalPulse was built to fix that. One feed that pulls the whole city together: events from everywhere, the venues that are popping right now, the creators shaping the scene, and a live pulse of where the energy is tonight. Not a listings site. A living map of the culture.
We started in Houston, because it's one of the most diverse, underrated cities in America, a real scene that never got the spotlight it deserved. We built it here, for the people who make the nights happen and the people who don't want to miss them. And what works here works everywhere: every city has a pulse. We're just getting started feeling them.
From the founder
It started on a kid-free night. I had a rare night out and one simple question: where do I go, and is it actually worth it? Anyone in Houston knows the math. Fifty dollars to park. Another fifty to get in. And you still don't know if the vibe is right until you're standing in it, already out a hundred bucks.
I wanted to know before. Not 'who all gone be there,' but who all is there right now. The energy, in real time.
I could hop on TikTok, but that's last week's party. Great content, great reviews, but it doesn't answer the right now. And even with friends who are promoters, DJs, and owners, I still couldn't get a real read on the vibe the moment I wanted it. There just wasn't an app for it. So I built one.
I'm Stevi: founder, techie, host. I'm usually the person asking where the move is, or the one everybody's asking. I never had a single place to point them to. So I created it. LocalPulse is that hub.
