Child Safety Standards
Local Pulse has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). The safety of minors is a foundational priority of our platform, our policies, and our enforcement practices.
This page applies to the Local Pulse app, published by The Local Pulse Inc. · Last updated: May 2026
Our commitment
Local Pulse is an 18+ social discovery and nightlife app. We do not permit minors to use the platform, and we do not tolerate any content, behavior, or activity that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits children.
We comply with all applicable laws regarding the prevention of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and the protection of minors, including the laws of the United States and the jurisdictions where our users are located.
Age requirement
Local Pulse is restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. This is stated in our Terms of Service and is part of our content rating and target audience declarations on the app stores. Anyone we identify as being under 18 will have their account removed.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Local Pulse, and we will remove content and ban users who engage in:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) — any visual, written, or audio content that sexually exploits or abuses minors, in any form, regardless of context.
- Grooming or solicitation — any attempt to befriend, manipulate, or sexually solicit a minor.
- Sexualization of minors — any content that sexualizes or suggestively depicts a person under 18.
- Trafficking or exploitation — any content or activity that facilitates the trafficking, exploitation, or abuse of children.
- Sharing of intimate imagery of minors — including any non-consensual or AI-generated imagery.
How we prevent and detect violations
- Age gating: All users must agree to our 18+ Terms of Service before creating an account.
- In-app reporting: Every user can report any user, post, story, message, or live stream they believe violates these standards. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
- User blocking: Users can block any other user, preventing further contact or visibility.
- Account moderation: Our admin team reviews reports and takes action including content removal, account suspension, and permanent bans.
- Legal reporting: We report suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as required by U.S. law.
- Account removal: Confirmed violations result in permanent removal of the offending account and all associated content.
How to report a violation
If you encounter content or behavior that you believe violates these standards, please report it immediately:
- In the app: Use the report button on any user profile, post, story, message, or live stream.
- By email: Contact our Child Safety point of contact directly at safety@thelocalpulse.app.
- To law enforcement: Suspected child exploitation can also be reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline or your local law enforcement.
Designated point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety matters is available to discuss our CSAM prevention practices and compliance with regulators, law enforcement, and platform providers.
Updates to these standards
We may update these standards from time to time as our app evolves, laws change, or new safety practices emerge. The most current version of this page will always be available at this URL.
